No pesticides are ever used! This coffee estate has planted tropical fruit trees amongst the coffee trees to attract the birds and insects away from the coffee trees, keeping them from nibbling on the precious Kona coffee beans. Few changes have occurred in the original methods of coffee production, as most tasks are still completed by hand or by nature.
Also, be sure to try our "Maui Gold Natural Cane Sugar," an exceptional pesticide-free natural sugar grown on the island of Maui! This cane sugar is one that our bodies can process, and you will find trace elements of important minerals such as phosphorus, magnesium and calcium. The Livestrong foundation claims it is the best sugar we can use. This natural cane sugar is being imported to us by the very last remaining sugar plantation in the Hawaiian islands! Totally off grid, this plantation even produces their own steam energy to assist in production.
